Only through the blood of the Lord Jesus forgiveness of sins is possible ( ), only through the death of the Lord Jesus is a person reconciled to God ( ). As a result of faith in Him and His work, the believer is clothed with Christ, by which he is pleasing to God ( ). He is clothed with “the best robe” ( ), “with garments of salvation” ( ). This must also become visible in our practice, as shown by the exhortation to put on the Lord Jesus Christ ( ; ). Garments speaks of our behavior, what people see of us. Do they recognize the Lord Jesus in our conduct and in our speaking? Do we behave as He wants, and do we speak as He wants?

As a result of faith in Him and His work, the believer is clothed with Christ, by which he is pleasing to God (Eph 1:6-7). He is clothed with “the best robe” (Lk 15:22), “with garments of salvation” (Isa 61:10). This must also become visible in our practice, as shown by the exhortation to put on the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom 13:14; Gal 3:27). Garments speaks of our behavior, what people see of us.
