‏ 1 Corinthians 11:24-25

v. 24-25: He describes the institution: “The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, ‘This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me’”(1 Corinthians 11:24-25 a). Jesus started this meal to help us remember His sacrifice. The bread and cup are symbols of His body and blood, showing the new covenant with God. When Christians eat and drink, they remember Jesus’ death and all the blessings it brings.
