v. 56: He explains why death was so terrible before: “The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law” (1 Corinthians 15:56 ^b). Sin brings death, and the law gives sin its power. But Jesus has removed sin’s power by dying for us (Romans 5:12 ^c).
