1 Corinthians 6:13
v. 13: Paul uses the example of food to illustrate his point. He says, Food is for the belly, and the belly is for food, but God will destroy both (1 Corinthians 6:13 a). While food and eating are natural, they are temporary and will not last in eternity. Paul transitions to a deeper point: The body is not for fornication, but for the Lord. Our bodies were not created for sinful purposes but to serve and glorify God. Paul emphasizes that believers must honor God with their bodies.
