‏ 1 John 1:3

v. 3: John and the other apostles gave strong evidence that Jesus really lived with them. They heard Him speak, saw Him with their eyes, and even touched Him. They were witnesses to Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. This personal experience made them trustworthy messengers (Luke 24:39; Acts 1:21, 22 a; 2 Peter 1:16 b). John says, That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you (1 John 1:3 c). These things are shared so believers can have fellowship with the apostles, and, even more, with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ (2 John 1:3 d). This fellowship is spiritual and brings all Christians together in the blessings from God.
