1 Kings 14:29-31
v. 29-31: The rest of Rehoboam’s acts were written in the records of the kings of Judah. He fought with Jeroboam all his days. When he died, he was buried in Jerusalem, and his son Abijam became king (1 Kings 14:29-31 a). Rehoboam’s short and troubled reign is a warning that sin shortens blessings and brings dishonor, both to leaders and to nations.
