1 Kings 18:3
v. 3–4: During this time, Jezebel was killing the prophets of the Lord (1 Kings 18:4 a). Obadiah, who was in charge of Ahab’s household, was a faithful servant of God. He had feared the Lord from his youth and was known for his honesty and faithfulness (1 Kings 18:3; 1 Kings 18:12 b). Even though he worked for a wicked king, Obadiah used his position to protect one hundred prophets by hiding them in caves and giving them food and water. This shows that God can have faithful people in unexpected places, even in the courts of evil rulers.
