1 Kings 22:13
v. 13-14: The officer who went to fetch Micaiah tried to persuade him to agree with the other prophets (v. 13 a). He suggested that Micaiah would be wise to say what the king wanted to hear, like everyone else. But Micaiah refused, saying, As the Lord lives, what the Lord says to me, that will I speak(v. 14 b). Micaiah was determined to say only what God told him, even if it was unpopular or dangerous. He respected God, the true King, more than any earthly king.
