‏ 1 Samuel 26:25

v. 25: Saul blessed David and predicted his future greatness, saying, “Blessed be thou, my son David: thou shalt both do great things, and also shalt still prevail” (1 Samuel 26:25 a). Saul recognized that David would one day succeed and be victorious. This was a strong admission, especially in front of Saul’s own men.

v. 25 (end): After this, Saul went home, and David continued on his way. David did not trust Saul enough to return with him. This was the last time Saul and David saw each other. David knew that it is wise to be careful with people who have broken trust before.
