1 Timothy 6:4
v. 4: Paul describes such a person as proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words (1 Timothy 6:4 a). Pride and ignorance often go together, and those who reject Christ’s teachings tend to get caught up in useless arguments. These disputes lead to envy, strife, railings, and evil surmisings, which cause division and harm within the church.
