‏ 2 Chronicles 1:16-17

v. 16-17: Solomon established trade with Egypt and imported horses and linen yarn, which he then sold to other nations like Syria (2 Chronicles 1:16-17 a). This trade brought great wealth to the kingdom and encouraged industry. Solomon may have been influenced by his mother’s teaching about the virtuous woman, who makes fine linen and sells it(Proverbs 31:24 b). This shows that hard work and wise management lead to profit, but it is important to follow God’s guidelines even in success.
