‏ 2 Corinthians 8:13-14

v. 13-15: Paul talks about fairness in giving, saying, It is not that others should be eased and you burdened, but by an equality(2 Corinthians 8:13-14 a). He explains that those with more should help those with less, so that everyone’s needs are met. He refers to the gathering of manna in the wilderness, where he who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack(Exodus 16:18 b). This shows that God’s design is for people to share and help one another, ensuring that no one suffers from lack while others have excess.

Through these arguments, Paul emphasizes that charity is not only an act of kindness, but also an act of obedience to God’s will and a reflection of His love and care for humanity.
