‏ 2 Kings 1:13-14

v. 13–14: A third captain came with his fifty men, but he acted differently. He humbled himself, fell on his knees before Elijah, and begged for mercy, saying, "Let my life and the lives of these fifty men be precious in your sight" (2 Kings 1:13-14 a). He learned from the mistakes of the others and asked for kindness instead of demanding. This shows that God is ready to show mercy to those who humble themselves and ask for it.
