2 Kings 21:16
v. 16: Manasseh also shed much innocent blood. He killed many people, probably including those who opposed his idolatry and spoke out for God. Jewish tradition says he even killed the prophet Isaiah (Hebrews 11:37 a). The final reason for judgment was the innocent blood Manasseh had shed throughout Jerusalem. This violence filled up the measure of their guilt and brought God’s severe punishment (2 Kings 21:16 b).
