‏ 2 Kings 24:2-3

v. 2-3: When Jehoiakim rebelled, Nebuchadnezzar sent bands of Chaldeans, Syrians, Moabites, and Ammonites to invade Judah. These groups had a long-standing hatred for Israel and were now used by God as instruments of judgment. While Nebuchadnezzar commanded the attack, it was ultimately the Lord who sent these enemies against Judah as punishment for the sins of Manasseh and the nation’s continued rebellion (2 Kings 24:2-3 a).
