But when they went to bury her, they found only her skull, feet, and hands. The dogs had eaten the rest of her body, just as the prophet had said (2 Kings 9:34-35; 2 Kings 9:10 ). This fulfilled God’s word exactly and showed that no one, not even a queen, can escape His judgment (1 Kings 21:23 ).
