2 Thessalonians 3:4
v. 4: Paul expresses his confidence in the Thessalonians, saying that he trusts they will continue to do what he and his friends have taught them (2 Thessalonians 3:4 a). This confidence comes from his trust in God’s work in their lives. The things Paul commands are just what Jesus commanded his followers to do (Matthew 28:20 b). When Christians obey God’s commands, they can be sure that God will listen to their prayers (1 John 3:22 c).
