Now, they have also received the gospel through the Holy Spirit, but they still refuse to believe and obey (Galatians 3:19; Deuteronomy 33:2 ; Hebrews 2:2 ). Stephen’s words are a strong warning. He shows that resisting God’s message leads to judgment. The leaders did not want to hear this, and so they became angry and would not listen any longer.
