The king talked with them and found that they were wiser and more understanding than any of the other young men. Because of this, they were chosen to serve in the king’s court (Daniel 1:19 ). This fulfilled the saying, he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men (Proverbs 22:29 ).
