Ecclesiastes 2:14
v. 14-15: However, Solomon also notices that both wise and foolish people share the same fate. One event happens to them all (Ecclesiastes 2:14 a). Both the wise and the foolish get sick, face trouble, and eventually die. Solomon realizes that his wisdom does not protect him from these things, and he wonders, Why was I then more wise? He concludes, This also is vanity (Ecclesiastes 2:15 b). Even though wisdom is better in daily life, it cannot save us from death or make us truly happy.
