Exodus 32:19
v. 19: When Moses saw the golden calf and the people dancing, he became extremely angry and threw down the tablets, breaking them at the foot of the mountain (v. 19 a). This was not out of personal pride but out of holy anger against sin. By breaking the tablets, Moses showed the people that they had broken their covenant with God. Losing God’s law is one of the worst things that can happen to a nation or person (Zech. xi. 10, 14 b).
