Gen 10:8 | MHM | STEP | v. 8 : Cush was the father of Nimrod. Nimrod began to be a mighty man on the earth ( v. 8 ). He was not content to live as an equal with his neighbors; instead, he wanted to rise above them and lead. Nimrod had the same spirit of ambition and pride as the giants before the flood ( ch. vi. 4 ). This shows us that some people are always seeking power, even after God’s past judgments.
