Genesis 24:64-65
v. 64-65: When Rebekah saw Isaac, she got down from her camel and covered herself with a veil (Genesis 24:64-65 a). This was a sign of humility and respect. She did not complain about the long journey or about leaving her family. Instead, she accepted her new life with a cheerful heart. Her actions show that those who follow God should be humble and willing to accept new roles. The veil also showed her respect for Isaac, just as wives are called to respect their husbands (Ephesians 5:24; 1 Corinthians 11:10 b). –
