Genesis 25:7-8
v. 7-8: Abraham lived to be 175 years old, spending 100 years in Canaan as a foreigner (Genesis 25:7-8 a). When he died, he did so peacefully, giving up his spirit willingly to God, the Father of spirits. He died at a good old age, just as God had promised. Abraham was “full of years,” meaning he was satisfied with his life. He was ready to leave this world and join his people, both in body and soul. Death gathers us to those who are like us, whether they are God’s people or not. –
