‏ Hebrews 2:12

v. 12: Because of this union, Jesus is not ashamed to call believers his brothers and sisters. This is a great act of kindness, because we are weak and sinful by nature. Jesus gladly accepts all who trust in him, as long as they are not ashamed of him. The apostle proves this by quoting the Old Testament: I will declare thy name unto my brethren; in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee(Psalm 22:22 a). This prophecy shows that Christ would have a group of followers—his church—who are his brothers and sisters. He teaches them about God and leads them in praising the Father together.
