‏ Isaiah 10:22-23

v. 22: Even though the people of Israel are as many as the sand of the sea, only a few will be saved. God’s promise is for those who truly turn back to Him. The apostle Paul also uses this verse to show that God always saves a faithful remnant (though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return,; see also Romans 9:27 a).

v. 23: God will bring destruction on many people in the land, but this will be fair and just. The Lord of hosts has decided how much will be destroyed and how long it will last. He will punish those who refuse to return to Him, but He will save the remnant who trust in Him (The Lord God of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land,.
