Isa 54:9 | MHM | STEP | v. 9 : God promises that his covenant of peace is as sure as his promise after the flood in Noah’s time . Just as God swore that he would never again flood the whole earth (Genesis 8:21–22; Genesis 9:11 ), he now promises never to be angry with his people in the same way again. He will not break his promise or reject his people forever (Psalm 89:34 ). His covenant is strong and cannot be broken.
