Isa 62:12 | MHM | STEP | v. 12 : God’s people will have new names that show their new identity. They shall be called ‘The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord ’; and you shall be called ‘Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken’ (Isaiah 62:12 ). This means that God’s people are set apart for Him and rescued by Him. They are no longer abandoned or forgotten. Instead, they are honored and desired by others. Holiness brings beauty and respect, and God’s people will be admired and joined by many. This is a picture of the church, made holy and redeemed by Christ, and open to all who seek God (1 Corinthians 1:2 ).
