Jam 4:8-10 | MHM | STEP | v. 8 : He says, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” (James 4:8 ). If we come close to God, He will come close to us. We must turn away from sin, clean up our lives, and be sincere in our faith.

v. 9: James urges, “Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.” . He says that people should be sorry for their sins and truly repent, rather than act like everything is fine.

v. 10: He finishes with, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.” (James 4:10 ^b). If we are humble before God, He will honor us and help us in His time.
