There will be no grapes on the vine or figs on the tree. All the blessings He gave will be taken away. This means both the literal loss of crops and comfort, and also the spiritual loss of God’s favor. When God’s gifts are abused, they can be taken away (Jeremiah 8:13; Isaiah 5:2 ; Matthew 21:19 ).
