‏ John 11:41-43

v. 41: So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me” (John 11:41 a). Jesus prayed openly, showing his trust in God the Father and teaching the people to believe that his power comes from God.

v. 42: “I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me” (John 11:42 b). Jesus wanted everyone there to understand and believe that he was sent by God.

v. 43: When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” (John 11:43 c). With a powerful command, Jesus called Lazarus back to life, showing his authority even over death.
