Judges 13:24
The Birth of SamsonThis section tells of the fulfillment of God’s promise to Manoah and his wife. The birth of Samson was a sign that God’s word always comes true. Samson’s life was special from the start; he was born to be a deliverer for Israel. The Spirit of the Lord began to work in him even as a child, showing that God was preparing him for a great purpose.v. 24: Manoah’s wife gave birth to a son, just as the angel had promised. They named him Samson, a name that may mean “little sun,” perhaps because of his special brightness or strength . God’s promises never fail. Children who are born through God’s promise, like Samson, are often blessed in special ways.
