‏ Judges 15:12-13

v. 12–13: Samson agreed to let the men of Judah bind him, but made them promise not to kill him themselves (Judges 15:12-13 a). He let them tie him with new ropes, showing self-control and trust in God. Samson was willing to suffer betrayal for the sake of his people, and in this way, he acted as a picture or “type” of Jesus, who also allowed Himself to be handed over by His own people (Acts 7:25 b).
