‏ Leviticus 18:16

v. 16: The law also says a man must not marry his brother’s wife (v. 16 a). There was one exception in Israel’s history—if a man died without children, his brother could marry the widow to continue the family line (Deuteronomy 25:5 b). Now that this rule is no longer needed, the general law stays in place: a man must not marry his brother’s widow.
