Lev 19:16 | MHM | STEP | v. 16 : We must not hurt our neighbor’s reputation. Do not spread stories or gossip about others. Tale-bearing creates trouble and destroys friendships. We should not stand by if someone is in danger or accused wrongly; instead, we should help and protect them (Proverbs 11:13; Proverbs 20:19 ; Jeremiah 9:4-5; Ezekiel 22:9 ). We should also give true testimony to save others from harm (Proverbs 24:11-12 ).
