‏ Leviticus 8:22

v. 22: Another ram, called the "ram of consecration," was offered as a peace-offering (Leviticus 8:22 a). Some of its blood was put on the priests’ ears, thumbs, and toes, and some was sprinkled on the altar. This showed the priests were now connected to God’s altar and would serve there all their lives. Every detail of this ceremony was done because God had given clear instructions (Exodus 29:1-46 b).
