Leviticus 8:33
v. 33: Aaron and his sons were told not to leave the tabernacle court for seven days. This time was set apart for their consecration. They needed to focus only on God’s service and prepare themselves, just as soldiers must be ready for their duty (2 Timothy 2:3-4 a). During these days, they repeated the same sacrifices every day, showing that the old sacrifices were not perfect, but pointed forward to the perfect sacrifice of Christ (Leviticus 8:33; Hebrews 10:1-2 b).
