‏ Luke 22:19

v. 19–20: Jesus then started the Lord’s Supper. He broke bread and said, “This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19 a). The broken bread reminds us that Jesus gave His body as a sacrifice for our sins. The cup of wine represents His blood, which makes the new covenant between God and His people. This covenant gives us forgiveness and every promise of God (Leviticus 17:11; 1 Corinthians 11:25 b). When we take the Lord’s Supper, we remember Jesus’ death and trust in His love for us.
