Mar 2:9-11 | MHM | STEP | v. 9-11 : Jesus asked them, “Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Thy sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Arise, and take up thy bed and walk’?” To show that he had authority to forgive sins, Jesus told the man, “Arise, take up thy bed, and go to thy house” (Mark 2:9-11 ). Healing the man’s body proved that Jesus could also heal his soul. The miracle was a sign that Jesus truly has the power to forgive sins (Isaiah 33:24 ).
