The angel told Joseph, Herod will seek the young child to destroy him . God knows all the evil plans of those who oppose His people (Isaiah 37:28 ). Jesus faced trouble from the very beginning of His life, just as Jeremiah did (Jeremiah 15:10 ). Like the Hebrews in Egypt and the vision of the dragon waiting to devour the child (Revelation 12:4 ), Jesus was in danger from birth.
