They complained to Jesus about the children’s praises. But Jesus accepted their praise and quoted scripture: Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise (Psalm 8:2 ). Jesus showed that even children can honor God, and their praise is valuable. He was pleased with their worship, even when the religious leaders were not.
