Mat 8:4 | MHM | STEP | v. 4 : Jesus told the man, See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them (Matthew 8:4 ). Jesus wanted the man to follow the law by showing himself to the priest and making the required offering (Leviticus 14:2 ). This would prove to everyone that he was truly healed. It was also a witness to the priests that Jesus had the power to do what only God could do. Jesus teaches us to obey God’s commands and to be thankful for what God has done for us.
