Numbers 13:26
Numbers 13:26 – The Spies Give Their Report This section tells what happened when the twelve spies returned from exploring Canaan. The Israelites waited forty days for the spies, even though God had already promised them success. When the spies returned, most of them gave a discouraging report, causing fear and doubt among the people. Only Caleb and Joshua trusted God's promise and encouraged the people to believe.v. 26: The spies came back after forty days and reported to Moses, Aaron, and the whole Israelite community. It is surprising that the people waited so long, given all the miracles God had done for them. This delay showed their lack of trust in God’s word and a willingness to wait for human advice instead of relying on God's promise (Num. 13:26 a).
