Psalms 116:10
Grateful Acknowledgments; Devout ResolutionsIn this part of the psalm, the writer expresses his faith, his struggles, and his gratitude to God. He openly shares both his confidence in God and his moments of doubt and trouble. He also thinks deeply about how he should respond to God’s kindness, deciding to live a life of praise, devotion, and public commitment to the Lord.v. 10: The psalmist declares, I believed, therefore I spoke. Because he trusted God’s promises, he was not afraid to pray, praise, or speak about his faith—even during hard times. True faith leads us to talk to God and to encourage others, even when we suffer (Psalm 116:10; 2 Corinthians 4:13 a).
