Psalms 139:21
v. 21-22: David declares his loyalty to God by saying he does not want to be close to those who hate God. He says, “Do I not hate those who hate You, O Lord?” (Psalm 139:21 a). David feels deep sadness when he sees people rebel against God, and he chooses not to be friends with them or join in their evil ways (Psalm 101:3; Psalm 69:8 b). He hates their sin because he loves God.
