‏ Psalms 148:3

v. 3–4: The psalmist also calls on the sun, moon, and stars to praise God (Psalm 148:3 a). These bright lights in the sky remind us of God’s glory. Even the highest heavens and the waters above the skies are called to praise Him. The heavens of heavens belong to the Lord (Psalm 115:16 b), and even though they are vast, they cannot contain Him (1 Kings 8:27 c). The clouds above, which hold the rain, are also under God’s control (Job 38:23 d). All these things show us reasons to praise God, because He made them and uses them for good.
