Psalms 16:11
v. 11: The psalm ends, You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore (Psalm 16:11 a). God showed Jesus the way to eternal life through resurrection. Jesus was welcomed into God’s presence and given glory and joy forever. His suffering led to great reward—not just for Himself, but for all who follow Him. Jesus now enjoys perfect happiness with God, and He will share this joy with His people (Isaiah 53:11 b).These verses can also encourage all Christians. We should always keep the Lord before us, just as Jesus did. If we look to God as our helper, we will not be moved, no matter what happens (Acts 20:24 c). If we trust God, our hearts and words can be full of joy. Even when we face death, we can have hope for resurrection, because Jesus rose first. Our happiness in this world is incomplete, but in heaven, there is perfect joy and pleasure forever with God.
