‏ Psalms 20:9

v. 9: The prayer ends with a call for God to save the king: “Save, Lord! May the King answer us when we call” (Psalm 20:9 a). The people ask God to give the king success and to make him a blessing to the nation. They also pray that God will hear them when they pray for help and justice. This prayer can also point to Jesus, the King of kings, who always hears and helps His people.

As we read these verses, we should be encouraged to trust God and to pray for those in authority. God is the one who gives peace, safety, and success. Let us remember to pray for our leaders and to rely on God’s strength, not our own.
