‏ Psalms 30:9

v. 9: David pleaded with God, asking, What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? Shall it declare thy truth? . David said his death would not benefit God or help others. He wanted to live so he could praise God and tell others about God’s faithfulness. This is a strong reason to ask God for help—to honor God and keep serving him (Philippians 2:17 a).
