Psalms 65:11-13
v. 11: Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness . God’s kindness can be seen throughout the whole year. Every season is full of His blessings. Wherever God works, He leaves blessing and plenty behind (Joel 2:13-14 a). v. 12: They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side . God’s rain reaches even the wild, unused lands and the smallest hills. Everything in creation benefits from God’s care, not just the places where people live and work (Psalm 114:6 b). v. 13: The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing (Psalm 65:13 c). Because of God’s blessings, the land is full of sheep and grain. The earth seems to rejoice and sing because of the abundance God gives. This harvest is a reason for us to celebrate, praise God, and remember His goodness (Exodus 23:16 d).
